Jenna. Feb 15. Buffalo Head #1.

I went to see Dear John with some friends tonight.  When I came back, I found this on my couch!

Colby didn’t look too worried.  [And Kevin said his head got cold.]

Jenna. Feb 14. Monster.

Tonight at my house we had an invasion of the Tim-and-Kelsey-nator.  You’re getting a rare peek at its lightning speed!  My kids had so much fun being chased.

Jenna. Feb 13. Rolls.

These are the yummy whole wheat cinnamon rolls Kevin and I made for the kids’ valentines breakfast today.  This is the recipe.

And later in the afternoon I took Colby to a birthday party at Powersports.  He didn’t stop moving the whole time and was upset when we had to leave.  He definitely can’t wait to go back.  I couldn’t get any pictures of him doing forward or backward rolls.

Jenna. Feb 12. [Red] Cuties.

My friend Le invited some gals over for a little Valentine’s get-together with the kids.  We spent most of our time talking and I ended up having so much fun I was 10 minutes late to pick up Colby from school!  Oops.

Here’s the Getting the Coats On pic.

Here’s Geralyn and baby Nora with cute matching headbands.

And here’s 4 of the girls sitting pretty on Grayton’s bed.  I promise I didn’t pose them, but when I pulled out the camera, Kennedy put on her best Zoolander face.

Next time we all get together I’ll have to take a picture of Carlee chasing down little Oliver… and then hitting him.  He took her dinky once and she hasn’t forgotten about it.  All I can say is, watch out, little dude – she’s coming after you with a vengeance.  (Poor Ollie!)

Jenna. Feb 11. [Red] Gifts & Gab

My MOPS group had a Girls’ Night Out last night.  We got together at Amanda K’s house to make a gift for our hubbys and eat dessert.  This is Amanda.  In a red shirt.

Here’s what we made – a tile message board to put in the bathroom.  This is my design.

The biggest talk of the night was the SNOW we got!  Not much, but still newsworthy. This is what accumulated on my car in about 20 minutes, then I got to drive home in the snow – the first time in my life I’ve had to do that.

Kennedy made me promise that the next time it snowed that we would play in it.  I agreed.

Jenna. Feb 10. [Red] Watch.

Does anybody really know what time it is?
Does anybody really care?

[Bonus points if you can name that song And the group who sings it!!]

Jenna. Feb 9. [Red] Bed.

And now, a Dr. Seuss-ish rhyme.

My bed is red.
I like my red bed.
“I like the red bed,” says Ned.
“Who the *&%$! is Ned?” says Kevin.

Jenna. Feb 8. [Red] Cups.

We all had red cups today.  Not planned; completely staged photo, nonetheless.

Jenna. Feb 7. [Red] Flowers.

This is Red Week on the Project, in honor of Valentine’s Day.  And Heart Disease awareness.

These flowers are on my formal dining room table.  I sit at the table every day to do my Bible study and sometimes to blog.  At first I wasn’t sure what I wanted in the middle of that table, but I saw the arrangement below at World Market and decided to copy it.  I bought the flowers at Wal-Mart and the vase at Hobby Lobby; the whole thing cost around $40; the one at World Market would have been upwards of $100.

What do you think?

Jenna. Feb 6. Faith.

I went on a retreat this weekend and one of the crafty ladies made these coasters.  The picture doesn’t do it justice – she stamped a tree and the word Faith onto mine.  Each of the coasters were unique.

Jenna. Feb 5. Grandfather.

You’re getting 2 pics today.  I went to see my Grandfather today and brought the girls with me.  I took this pic and then Kennedy wanted to take pictures of him.  So she got 5 shots of his right hand and the blurry one below.  I wish it wasn’t blurry because I love his expression.  This is my grandfather.

Jenna. Feb 4. Hot date.

It was our turn to go on a date while the prayer group kept our kids and fed them pizza.  Kevin and I ate dinner at Red Lobster – I don’t think I’ve ever been there before but we had a gift certificate, thanks to a friend from church.  Then Kevin surprised me by taking me to play air hockey – something we both enjoyed doing while at A&M and I had mentioned in passing.  Bonus points to him for remembering and for making it happen!  We went to Grand Central Station, the local bowling alley and arcade.  This is him driving a racecar arcade game.

The highlight of the night was playing Dance Dance Revolution.  Kevin schooled me all 4 times.  I had a great time.

Jenna. Feb 3. Coupon Attempt #1.

I am doing some hard-core super clippin’ money saving for our family.  I tried “couponing” about 3 years ago and realized that I did most everything completely wrong.  So, I’m trying again.  Here are the receipts from today’s shopping excursion.  The one on the left is Kroger’s and the one on the right is Walgreen’s.  Now, I’m just starting out, And I bought organic milk and produce at Kroger’s too (which don’t have coupons), but I’d say that spending $100 at both stores and saving $100 is pretty good for a first-timer?

I’m blogging this so I can look back and see if I’ve made any progress.

Jenna. Feb 2. Library Books.

I am addicted to the library.  This is a small sampling of the books I had in my possession this week.  I had to turn a few in already.  I love to read and I think the library actually makes you read because there’s a deadline/due date.  I read different types of genre: kitch lit [GilmoreGirls reference], parenting/self-help, fiction…

Jenna. Feb 1. Leftover Chinese Food.

I’m switching over to putting the date instead of the day so it’s not so confusing for me.  And, I’m not so good with math in my head.

The thing I like even more about eating Chinese food is the fun leftovers containers from Pei Wei.  This dish is Thai Dynamite.  [Don't tell Kevin I ate his leftovers.]
