Kevin. Day 20. Morning View.

This is the view of the bathroom through the shower door… a view I see each morning. The glass makes it hard to see through…

Jenna. Day 20. Kids in the hall.

My prayer group organized a kid swap in each others’ homes so we can alternate having date nights – 2 couples watch kids while 2 couples go on dates.  Tonight it was our turn to watch the kids.  Here they are, Cheaper By the Dozen.  (There’s 12 of them, if you can see them all – ages 6 weeks to 6 years.)  I took 7 pictures of this pose and this was the first one I took.

PS – We all had a great time.  I will sleep well tonight.

Jenna. Day 19. Home church.

Beautiful sunset.   Taken in the parking lot.

Kevin. Day 19. Lens fun.

While the subject matter isn’t too exciting, its the lens that I was playing with to make this picture that I took on Day 19. It’s a Tilt-Shift lens, and you can see the focal plane isn’t parallel to the front of the camera… it runs at a diagonal across the edge of the counter top of our kitchen.

Kevin. Day 18. Puffy Things.

These are some flowery puffy things that Jenna bought to put in a glass container… they sit on our mantle. They are kinda neat looking.

Jenna. Day 18. Carpet Cleaning.

A great friend allowed me to borrow their carpet steam cleaner.  I’ve been wanting to clean the carpets for a long time now – ever since we moved in, really.  As you can see, it makes a world of difference.  Although, it seems to need quite a long time to dry… I cleaned carpets this morning and when I put the kids to bed tonight they were still wet.

If you’ve ever used one of the steam cleaning contraptions, I emptied the dirty water reservoir 3 times in each kids’ room.  (Their rooms are 12′ x 12′, minus their beds and some toys.  Might explain why the floors are still wet.)

Jenna. Day 17. Tim & Kelsey.

Meet Kelsey & Tim, our adopted Aggies.  I’ve been mentoring Kelsey since about this time last year.  We met her when I was very pregnant with Carlee.  We met Tim this past fall when he transferred to A&M from Baylor.  Smart guy.  Kelsey & Tim have been dating for 2 years.

Our kids love Kelsey & Tim and often ask for them to come over for dinner.  Tonight we were glad to have them over and catch up with them after their Christmas break.  I forgot college kids get things like Christmas break.  Kevin actually took this pic since Carlee wouldn’t let me put her down.

Kevin. Day 17. Cooper at 6am.

The theme for the project this week is “My Home”. This is our dog, Cooper. He sleeps in our closet and usually doesn’t come out but only for a second in the morning when I get up and shower. This morning he came out and fell back asleep on the bath mat. I was trying to get a shot with his eyes closed, but alas, once the camera was on him he didn’t shut them again.

Kevin. Day 16. Children’s Museum.

Jenna had a baby shower this morning, so I braved the Children’s Museum on a Saturday with all three kids by myself. Go me! This is sweet Kennedy painting a picture.

Jenna. Day 16. Menu.

Today I went to Madden’s in downtown Bryan for a baby shower brunch.  This was the super fancy menu.

Two things you should know about me:

1.  I love breakfast foods.  Every single one.

2.  Whenever I go to a fancy restaurant, I ALWAYS order the wrong thing.. something I don’t like.

To avoid #2, I have Kevin order for me.  He wasn’t there.  I ordered the BLT option and while I liked it okay, I should have gotten the creme brulee french toast instead.  I think my sister Katrina would call this MLIA.

Kevin. Day 15. Cloudy Day.

I was driving to work and saw this drastic change in the clouds. They were smooth, then quite turbulent looking.

Jenna. Day 15. Matching Outfits.

Kevin’s sister gave the girls matching outfits for Christmas.  This is their debut.  It’s really hard getting a 2 year-old and a 1 year-old to hold still for pictures, while keeping the 4 year-old from taking my camera away.  Kennedy is saying “cheeeeeeeeeese” and scratching her eye.  Silly girl.

Jenna. Day 14. For Ashley.

I met my dear friend Ashley when we went to A&M together.  We had Every. Single. Class together our freshman year – out of pure coincidence.  (Or was it divine?)  We also sat together in church and Breakaway.  One of those many times, she wrote this to me and placed it in my Bible.  [We had such a loving relationship; back when it was cool to call each other bros and hos... so we changed it to 'shmo'.]  I’ve used the same Bible for the past 10 years but haven’t seen this in a couple.  I had it “hidden” in 2 Kings – apparently I don’t read much there.  Now I think I’ll hide it somewhere else and see how long it takes me to find it.

PS – Love you too, Shmo!

365 Project. Day 14. The Last Popcorn Eater.

Some of you might get my reference, but this is Carlee enjoying some popcorn Thursday night.

Jenna. Day 13. Redhead.

I definitely have a redheaded little girl!  Carlee was sitting outside eating Alpha Bits in the grass.  The weather was a beautiful 58 degrees outside – does anyone else feel like that’s a heat wave, compared to the 20s and 30s we’ve been having?
