Jenna and I went to see Avatar tonight. Ok so I’ll admit it was a little over the top on the tree hugging (not that I don’t love trees…) and a bit anti-military, but the special effects and animation were amazing.

The best conversations with kids happen right at bedtime. I’m pretty sure it’s a stall tactic so they won’t have to go to bed. But, this one happened tonight.
Colby: Ma, [Yep. Still calls me Ma. Thanks, Aunt Alicia.] what is Christmas about?
Me: Christmas is about Jesus. We got to celebrate Jesus’s birthday, remember?
Colby: Christmas is my favorite. Is it the big Jesus’s birthday or the little one?
Me: It’s the same Jesus. When Jesus was born, he was a baby, but then he grew up to be a man like your daddy used to be a baby but now he’s a man. But it’s the same person. *long pause* Do you have any more questions?
Colby: Nope. Just boogers.

Cinemark Theater in College Station. Kevin took me on a date to see Avatar, remember? I had a nice, witty piece written about the movie [most expensive movie ever; most persons on payroll in a movie] but then my computer decided to shut down. Not run out of battery. Not warn me. Just shut down.
If I had worked on Avatar this wouldn’t have happened to me. Or else they would have sent me to work at this movie theater.
