That is too funny! My Grandpa is notorious for offering to kindly clean the dishes after cake, etc. After years of marriage it took one of us grandkids to point out to Grandma his alterior motives. She had no idea that this was the reason her strict diet for lowering his cholesterol and blood pressure wasn’t working. Grandpa still does the dishes – but under strict supervision.
